BLUE WATER READY

Full video tour available on request

Presented in outstanding condition and comprehensively upgraded, 'Arietta' is an exceptional example of the renowned Najad 391 - a proven bluewater cruiser with classic Swedish craftsmanship and a formidable pedigree. Launched in 1997 and hull number 23 of the series, she was specified from new for a circumnavigation, which she completed admirably between 1998 - 2000.

The current owner having acquired her in 2019 from the original custodians, have undertaken an extensive and thoughtful programme of refit and modernisation over a three-year period, ensuring she remains ready for serious passage-making without compromising the comfort and elegance that Najads are famed for.

Her most recent offshore adventure saw her participate in the 2024 ARC to St Lucia, placing an impressive 5th in class - a testament to her capability and preparation.

She features the desirable two-head layout with a spacious bow shower compartment.

Her sails are in excellent order, with a full wardrobe of Kemp sails from 2022 and 2024, including a Vektron furling main and genoa, heavy weather jib, and a virtually new cruising chute. Spare sails include Quantum and Sanders options, all in serviceable condition.

Rigging was replaced in 2019, with further mast overhaul and inspection completed by Sopromar in 2024. Full-height mast steps are fitted for convenience aloft.

Electronics and comms have been fully modernised: A full Raymarine suite (2021+) includes Axiom Pro plotter, i70s instrumentation, AIS700, and Evolution autopilot. Comms are equally robust, featuring Ray90 VHF, handhelds, SSB (currently uninstalled), and a Skylink Iridium Certus satellite system (2023) offering global email and WiFi capability.

Power systems are similarly upgraded. This Najad 391 boasts a Fischer Panda generator (rebuilt 2022), Victron inverter and solar suite (2024), new AGM house batteries (2024), and galvanic isolator. Every aspect of her electrical setup has been considered for extended independent cruising.

The propulsion package is centred around a reliable Yanmar 4JH2TE (4900hrs), mated to a 2022 Bruntons Autoprop with new propshaft and bearings (2023). A Vetus 75 bow thruster with dedicated battery aids in tight marina manoeuvring.

Below decks, she's warm and welcoming with re-upholstered seating (2015), superb joinery, and an immaculate holly cabin sole - protected by carpet since new. Heating is via an Eberspächer L5, fully serviced.

The galley is well-appointed for liveaboard life: Force 10 cooker, fridge, freezer, twin sinks, and ample storage. Watermaker (Seafresh, 70L/hr) and large stainless tanks ensure autonomy. Hot water from engine or immersion heater.

Deck equipment includes a recent sprayhood and cockpit tent (2023), Lofrans windlass, 70m of new chain, Rocna anchor, and a comprehensive fender and warp suite. Safety is well covered with a 4-man raft (2022), MOB gear, and more.

Simply put, Arietta is a serious cruising yacht that's turn-key ready for her next chapter - whether coastal cruising or bluewater ambition. Early viewing highly recommended.

Owner's comments:

Arietta is hull number 23, Launched 1997, we are her second owner purchasing her from the original owners in 2019. She is UK VAT paid.

Arietta was specified to sail around the world which the original owners did 1998 through to 2000, she then spent most of the following years cruising the med and moored in Spanish marinas. She was delivered back to the UK mid 2019 due to the previous owners poor health.

She had been very well cared for cosmetically, but required updating when we purchased her in 2019. I spent three years upgrading and updating to get her back into tip top condition before embarking on the 2023 Portugal Arc, she spent a season in Portimao, we then sailed her to Gran Canaria before heading to St Lucia, November 2024, She did very well coming 5th in class.

The boat is currently on a ship being transported back to the UK, and will be ready for inspection in early June.
