This 1985 Jouet 760, designed by Philippe Briand and built by Yachting France, is a fantastic example of a well-maintained and thoughtfully upgraded family cruiser. Priced at £9,500, she offers excellent value for a boat of her size, with five berths across two cabins, making her ideal for weekend getaways or extended coastal cruising.
2022 Refurbished Engine – Yanmar 1GM10 (10hp) stripped down and rebuilt for reliable performance.
New Sails (2022) – Jeckells mainsail (slab reefing, stack pack, lazy jacks) and headsail with a new furling system.
New Canvas Work (2022) – Sprayhood, dodgers, mainsail cover, winch covers, and rope bags.
New Chartplotter – For modern navigation.
Hull & Keel Epoxy Coated (2015) – Enhancing durability.
Interior Refit (2015) – New worktops, pressurised water system, LED lighting, upholstery, saloon table, and toilet.
Despite her 7.6m LOA, the Jouet 760 boasts an intelligently designed interior with an aft cabin more commonly found on larger yachts. Accommodation includes two doubles and a single berth, a functional galley with a two-burner gas stove, and a manual heads.
With a sloop rig, aluminium spars, and stainless steel standing rigging, she is easy to handle while offering good performance. The Gori folding prop and fin keel (draft 0.83m-1.75m) provide a balanced mix of stability and manoeuvrability.
This Jouet 760 has been meticulously cared for, with numerous upgrades ensuring she is ready for her next adventure. Whether you're looking for a capable coastal cruiser or a comfortable liveaboard for short trips, this yacht represents a fantastic opportunity at an attractive price.
