The Mamba 35 was designed by Jan and Harry Becker. It has a sleek design with a large sail area and medium-high freeboard. The stern is wide, providing ample space. The deck and hull are built with sandwich laminate in divinycell, and the boat has a swept-back lead keel.

Length overall: 10.85m, Beam: 3.10m, Draft: 1.75m.

Mast length: 15.40m (plus boat height).

The boat is well-maintained and continuously improved. Halyards and reefs are handled from the cockpit, foresail on Furlex forestay profile, new in 2023. The cockpit features long benches (no track breaks) covered with Isiteek, resembling teak but maintenance-free. Woodwork around the hatch in lacquered teak and side compartments in teak. The boat has new high-quality upholstery throughout, matching the mahogany interior. There are 7 berths, with a family of five accommodated in the forepeak and two aft berths (one double) without needing to sleep in the saloon. The mast is deck-stepped, making the saloon airy. The galley has ample storage in cabinets and drawers, gas stove, cool box, and two sinks. The toilet can be closed off from both the forepeak and saloon.

The rig is 7/8 fractional by Benns with swept-back spreaders, boom with reef lines and vang from Benns, and Furlex forestay profile. The engine is a Yanmar 2GM20 diesel engine with approximately 12 HP from 1984-85 with Martec fresh water cooling. The generator was replaced with a 60A unit in 2009, water pump overhauled. Annual autumn service with oil change and filter replacements every other year. The hull was stripped of old antifouling and epoxy-treated in 2014, followed by additional epoxy (T-coat) in 2019 and touch-ups in 2023. Approved antifouling certificate available.

The boat is equipped with, for example: Wallas heater (function uncertain), 2-burner gas stove with oven, cool box with compressor and icebox, Stereo & VHF. Sea and fresh water pumps in galley and toilet. Toilet with holding tank and deck discharge, sanitation hoses replaced in 2025. Garmin plotter integrated with Silva MX2 log, wind, and depth. Stainless steel Bruce anchor with anchor line in the aft, Galvanized Bruce with long chain in the bow anchor box. Full-batten mainsail with reef lines to cockpit. Newer sail covers with lazyjacks, foresail cover, and sprayhood, Roller genoa II 31 m2 in tri-radial sandwich. Older genoa I and staysail available. Removable solar panel with connection via charge controller. DC 12V/AC 230V converter for charging laptops, etc. Complete mooring equipment and rock anchor. Toolbox with necessary tools for engine maintenance and rigging, kitchen equipment. 7 supports and deck rack for winter storage.
