The Najad 380 is one of the most successful models from the Orust-based yard. The boat is a further development of its predecessor Najad 373 and is designed by Judel/Vrolijk & Co. The Najad 380 offers a well-protected relatively deep center cockpit, fixed windscreen, teak deck, and an integrated bathing platform at the stern. The hull and deck are built in sandwich laminate (divinycell) which, combined with longitudinal stringers and laminated bulkheads, provides a relatively light and strong construction. The boat has a deep keel, external lead keel, and skeg-hung rudder. Directly adjacent to the companionway are the navigation station, toilet with shower, and longitudinal galley. There is a spacious aft cabin and a guest cabin in the bow, both with double berths. The saloon has a table with folding sides and two sofas. The interior is made of matt-lacquered mahogany. A testament to the Najad 380's performance on the high seas is the English woman Jane Socrates' 339-day solo non-stop circumnavigation with her Najad 380 NEREIDA. The Najad 380 SIGNE is a fine and well-maintained boat. The current (second) owner purchased the boat through Berthon Scandinavia in 2018. Except for 2020 and 2021 when the boat remained on land due to the pandemic, it has been used for family sailing during the summer mainly on the Swedish east and west coasts. This is our sixth sailboat, following a Golden Hind, Contessa 26, Seamaster 925, Beneteau 345, and Starlight 35. Without a doubt, this is the best we have owned. She sails fantastically and is impressively fast. We often marvel at how we can outpace significantly lighter 40-foot boats in light winds. The boat handles all weather conditions excellently and is easy to maneuver, both at sea and in port. My wife and I have sailed her along the Swedish west and east coasts, as well as in the Baltic Sea to Germany and Denmark - mostly just the two of us, but sometimes also with another couple. The Najad 380 is a perfect long-distance boat with a well-thought-out layout and a secure cockpit. For various reasons, we have decided to leave the Baltic Sea and switch to a smaller boat in the UK. We are therefore pleased to be able to hand over SIGNE fully equipped, ready for cruising - down to bedding if desired. The price is €220,000 which is approximately SEK 2,415,000 (June 17, 2025).
