Omega 28 Sailboat

We are selling our beautiful Omega 28 sailboat. Due to having a one-year-old in the family, we are unable to use it as much as we would like and struggle to keep up with maintenance and updates.

Boat Information:

• Year: 1980, hull number 225. Epoxy treated by previous owner.
• Engine: Lombardini, 11 hp from 2007.
• Python drive coupling between engine and propeller shaft for reduced vibrations.
• New mast by Benns in 2010, including a boom kicker.
• Sail setup: newer full-battened mainsail and cruising laminate genoa from Lundh, 110% dacron jib from Carlqvist Segel, spinnaker (never used by us), and a set of older spare sails.
• Furlex roller system for headsail.
• Lewmar 30 winches, two-speed. Floating track for sheets and wide mainsheet track for optimal trimming.
• Autohelm ST1000 autopilot.
• Garmin 721 plotter. Silva log and wind gauge (wind gauge may need attention).
• New 55w Sunbeam solar panel, plus older solar panel on the pulpit.
• New 50-liter water bag, unused.
• New batteries in 2025 for consumption and starting.
• Cobra VHF radio.
• Stereo with CD player.
• Extra thick cushions throughout the boat, additional mattress for the forepeak, and one of the salon berths.
• Two-burner gas stove with oven.
• New inner ceiling in the salon, LED lighting in most of the boat.
• Porta potti (water toilet fittings still in place).
• Wallas 1800 heater in need of a new fuel pump.
• Most of the electrical system rewired with Skyllermarks system, shore power with ground fault breaker.
• Includes Bruce anchor on stern mount, plow, mooring equipment, and some tableware.

Overall, a lovely sailboat with great sailing characteristics, especially upwind. Very cozy with a lot of wood in the interior. Custom-built fridge with compressor and large pantry in the kitchen.
