The Kelt 5.50 boat was manufactured by the classic French Kelt shipyard between 1978-1982 and is a so-called micro-tonner.
The boat has a swing keel with a draft of 30 - 110 cm. It is one of the widest boats produced in its size, 2.4 m, which makes it stiff along with the 150 kg swing keel. The boat was renovated in 2022. Epoxy primer and 2-component paint have been used. The rudder is newly manufactured and streamlined compared to the previous aluminum plank. All running rigging has been replaced with dyneema. Several stays have been replaced. The forestay has been converted to a Selden roller for the jib. The boat has extensive technology all connected to NMEA 2000. Nexus wireless wind sensor, two Nexus multi-instruments, and a Garmin multi-instrument. Also, a depth sounder with water temperature sensor connected to the network. Raymarine Elements 7 plotter.
The mainsail is new from 2024, there are older jib and genoa that can be rolled in. The gennaker is relatively new and redesigned with an anti-torsion line for the new gennaker roller from 2024. Bow sprit installed in 2024. Most of the deck is new with a new sheet arrangement. The mast is foldable and can be raised and lowered by oneself although I recommend two people. The small sprayhood is also newly sewn during the renovation. All electrical wiring has been redone but the lights have not been connected yet. 35w solar panel and regulator charge the battery. Surely much more new that I can't think of right now.
The engine is a Suzuki 5hp from 2014 in good condition. The Kelt 5.50 has an active forum on Facebook and a website with all the desired information about the boat. The boat has been winter stored indoors and is located in Burgsvik. Currently on land but will be in the water at the beginning of July.
Boat trailer is not included in the price.
