Many upgrades including new elevated rig with roller furling, new engine, newer teak deck, new sprayhood, and cockpit cover, etc.
The hull was manufactured using fiberglass-reinforced plastic with longitudinal and transverse reinforcements making the boat rigid and strong. The semi-flat deck and elevated freeboard made the HR-312 significantly more spacious than boats of similar size at the time.
This boat has been extensively updated by its previous and current owners including a new teak deck in 2007, new elevated Selden rig in 2013 (with in-mast furling mainsail and all lines led to the cockpit), bow thruster, bow sprit, and new instruments in 2016, new Yanmar 3YM30 engine and saildrive in 2022, new sprayhood and cockpit cover also in 2022, winter cover and other accessories in 2024, new battery bank in 2025, and much more.
