This very well maintained and solidly built Compromis 888 is a comfortable sailing vessel, where almost all operations can be done from the cockpit. The cockpit is spacious and without obstacles, equipped with comfortable benches and offers a good overview of the ship and has a spacious trunk. The sprayhood incl sprayhood extender and aft cover bring extra comfort and cosiness. The decks are wide, easily accessible, equipped with Treadmaster anti-slip and double sea railing for a safe environment.
The boat is fully equipped with 4 Dacron sails for all weather conditions. And when the wind dies down, the reliable Yanmar engine with Saildrive (cuffs replaced in 2021) will get you to your destination.
The space in the ship is surprisingly large, practical and beautifully finished , comparable to a ship of 10 m length. The saloon has a headroom of 1.90m and is equipped with a u-couch, a long sofa and a coffee table. There is a separate chart table near the control panel. The galley is spacious and equipped with a two-burner gas stove, grill, double sink and an electrically cooled cooler.
The forward cabin is really spacious, offers permanent sleeping space for two and is lockable with a door. The aft cabin also offers permanent sleeping space for two people, and in addition to being spacious, it is particularly long: 2.50 m! The aft cabin has a dressing area and closets and can be closed with a door. With an extra cushion in the saloon, the U-shaped sofa can also be converted into a double bed, allowing 6 (even 7) people to spend the night.
The bathroom area has a hand-operated sink and toilet, and provides access to the wet room for sailing clothes. This area is also accessible from the port stateroom.
Storage space is provided throughout the ship, all around in the cabin, under the benches, under the mattresses, in the cabins, in the galley and bath room.

The mahogany interior is attractive and very well maintained. There are mosquito nets for all hatches and also the entrance.|The cushions in the salon have all received new dark blue upholstery, curtains are dark blue and the mattresses medium blue.|The floor is teak and is well in the paint. Trumatic hot air stove on gas.
