She was designed and Solidly built for ocean cruising with the ability to get in to shallow water with her hydraulic lifting keel with a draft 2.9m down. 88m when up Ideal for cruising around the

The following points should be noted :
The Southerly 135 (45') can go where most boats cannot with an extremely shallow draft of only 0.84m or 2
feet 9 inches. Just imagine where you can sail this boat and the safe harbours and anchorages
you can enjoy. If you like you can even beach her! Having this variable draft ability is a real
added bonus when needing to tuck in out of a storm. When in deep water, you can lower the
keel with the push of a button to an impressive maximum draft of 2.96m or 9ft 9 inches.
The Southerly 135 is easily sailed by 1 or 2 people with in mast furling main, power winch
and all lines led aft to the helm.
"Viking" has the desired raised salon layout, a separate seating alcove with table, a large galley,
3 staterooms, 2 heads and even a separate work room.
