This Ecume de Mer underwent an extensive refit from 2015 to 2017 by a boat builder. The hull was completely stripped underwater, sealed with epoxy, and painted. New windows were installed, the electrical system was completely renewed, the electronics were updated, and the interior was made more comfortable with a new cooling unit, new upholstery, and a new toilet with a tank. A new engine was also installed, and new sails were purchased from the Segelwerkstatt Stade.
The Ecume de Mer 75 is a "facelifted" version. The boat was lengthened by 10 cm and widened by 5 cm compared to the original version, and the lines in the aft were made fuller. This measure improved both comfort and sailing characteristics. The underwater hull was completely stripped and coated with six layers of Gelshield, seacocks were completely renewed, the rudder was overhauled and newly mounted. Self-polishing antifouling international Micron 350 was applied, with a new application in late March 2023. The keel seam was completely renewed in 2021, sealed with epoxy primer and filled with Pantera. The deck was newly painted and equipped with a new non-slip coating, both with International 2k products. All windows were replaced in 2016, and the railing wires were renewed in 2016. The tracks for the genoa sheet attachment are adjustable, with Harken winches newly installed in 2020. An anchor with chain lead, all position lights LED, a 60Wp solar panel with MPPT Victron charger, and all halyards and sheets led to the cockpit were added. All Lewmar winches are self-tailing, newly installed in 2016 (halyard winch on the cabin top, 2x genoa winches, 2x spinnaker winches). Harken automatic traveler, halyards and sheets newly made of Dyneema, teak tiller, Spinlock tiller extension, cockpit cushions with Velcro, top rigging, 1 pair of spreaders, overhauled by a metalworking company in 2023, shrouds and stays newly installed in 2015, roller furling genoa 1, SW Stade, in good condition, roller furling genoa 3, SW Stade, as new (from 2022) with luff doubling (made of closed-cell foam), mainsail from Segelwerkstatt Stade, fully battened, in good condition, spinnaker and 2 sets of sheets, still usable, covers for genoa and mainsail, lazy jacks, blocks and rollers up to date. Yanmar 1Gm10 diesel inboard single-cylinder 9PS, new in 2016, less than 150 operating hours, complete Yanmar service kit included, saildrive, 2-blade variable pitch propeller Varioprop from SPW GmbH, 20l stainless steel diesel tank, new anodes in 2023, starter battery 55Ah, new in 2019, 2x consumer battery 100AH, parallel, new in 2021, Philippi shore power takeover with FI protection switch, Sterling 30A charger for shore power, Sterling A2B charger, Sterling Zinc-Saver, Philippi switch panel, Bluesea battery monitor with display for diesel, all lines new in 2015, Nexus NX, 2x multi-instrument, 1x wind indicator, wireless wind sensor at the masthead, Lowrance HDS7 (Navionics maps, SD), Garmin 128, new 2023 ICOM VHF-DSC marine radio IC-M330GE, DSC handheld radio Standard Horizon HX-851, Raymarine ST1000+ tiller pilot including remote control, Plastimo Contest steering compass with lighting new in 2022, car radio with Bluetooth, 2 speakers, USB connections, Optimus petroleum stove, 2 burners, currently serviced, refrigeration compartment, Waeco cooling unit retrofitted, with O-evaporator (good for ice cubes), upholstery new in 2015, toilet with tank new in 2019, 5 berths, 5 KW diesel air heater with LCD display and remote control and 2-way outlet, adjustable. The berth in the ancora Marina Neustadt is paid for and can be taken over.
