This is Hanses's first 40-foot sailboat and the starting point for the production of boats over 40 feet. This particular boat is serial number 1 and was featured at boat shows and in brochures from Hanse (follow the link to Hanse's website at the bottom of the text), the white one with green leather interior. The boat received a lot of attention at boat shows for its very modern interior style at the time. The hull is very solidly built and the hull shape is inspired by the Bianca 420, although the interior and superstructure are different.
We bought her about 6 years ago from the first owner. So we are the second owner of the boat. It has been renovated and updated during these years with a plan to keep her until we can no longer handle boating (which didn't happen). There are a few items left on the list for her to be in top condition, but our assessment is that it is mostly work. Some parts come with the boat.
The boat is very spacious in the salon and forepeak. You sleep well and have a toilet with a shower in the same space. The aft cabin is best suited for children or young adults as it is a bit narrow to pass through. Once inside, there is quite a bit of space. There is also a toilet in the salon on the starboard side aft.
I consider the sailing characteristics to be safe. The length of the waterline makes it move stately compared to, for example, a 30-foot boat that is more affected by the waves. That's not to say it's slow, as it has inherited the sailing characteristics from the Danish boat Bianca 420.

The boat is an opportunity for the right person. Contact me for more information.

The boat is sold by the owner himself and is already priced for a quick sale, so lowball offers are not accepted. The pictures were taken at different times, but the condition is the same.
