Maxi 84 is a safe family sailboat with 5 berths. The boat is spacious enough for a small family, yet comfortable for solo sailing. All lines are led to the cockpit and the foresail is easily trimmed with two-speed winches.
The boat has been continuously well-maintained and updated by the same owner since 1989. It received a new engine and drive in 2002. The Volvo Penta 2020D engine with 18 hp is reliable and more powerful than the original, equipped with fresh water cooling and a three-bladed folding propeller.
Navigation is facilitated by a 12-inch plotter mounted in the cockpit. The Garmin 4012 plotter from 2013 has maps from 2020 covering large parts of the Baltic Sea, including Åland.
