Due to illness, we have to sell our beloved boat. It is in good condition and can be optimized for cruising or racing. We have enjoyed its excellent sailing characteristics, which have allowed us to easily sail longer distances with a small crew, usually just the two of us.
The previous owner upgraded the boat with a stronger mast and optimized rudder for solo sailing to the Caribbean. This means that the backstay is not critical as the spreaders are swept and the rudder bites well even on a hard reach. With the NKE autopilot, sailing the spinnaker alone at night is easy and worry-free while the partner sleeps soundly with the Eberspacher heater providing dry and comfortable warmth in the salon.
The engine had some issues in the first year, so we replaced it with a new Yanmar that has been running smoothly ever since. The sails are suitable for cruising and have held their shape well as they were ordered with slightly thicker cruising laminate fabric.
The boat will be ready to sail around midsummer, and the price will depend on how much extra equipment such as a cover, cradle, NKE autopilot, etc. you wish to include. We want the boat to go to the right hands, and the purchase/sale process to be handled correctly and safely for all involved. Lowball offers and unserious buyers are not welcome.
