The Nova Zembla is a beautiful Halcyon Clipper, built in 1974 at Anne Wever's shipyard. With a length of 850 meters and a width of 235 meters, this boat offers a spacious interior and enough comfort for fun on the water. The hull shape is round bilge and the boat is steered with a tiller, providing an authentic sailing experience. The single rudder provides good maneuverability.
Accommodation on board is well equipped with a stove, mattresses, curtains and pillows. There is no hot water on board, but there is a 60-liter water tank. The manual toilet does not drain directly into open water, contributing to environmental awareness.
The boat is powered by a working Beta Marina diesel engine with an output of 14 hp. This engine has 2 cylinders and can reach a maximum speed of 10 knots. Several gauges, such as a temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge, help monitor engine performance. There are 2 batteries, supported by a battery charger, alternator and shore power supply.
As for navigation and electronics, the boat is equipped with a compass, autopilot and fishfinder. This provides convenience and safety while sailing.
