Koster from ca 1916 for Sale

This Koster was likely built in northern Bohuslän and is approximately 9.6 meters long, 3.9 meters wide, and weighs 5 tons. The hull is made of oak and is clinker-built with single-pins. It has a gaff rig with a mainsail, jib, and jib topsail, totaling approximately 34 square meters. It was converted to an electric motor in 2015 (from Electro-Mobile Scandinavia AB, 10kW/20hp).

The cabin has two double berths (which can be converted to seating), two berths in the forepeak, and a galley. In the aft cabin, there is a storage berth, storage space, and a portable chemical toilet. A rubber dinghy and trailer for winter storage can be included in the purchase.

All pictures are from May-July 2022. While there are renovation needs, they are not urgent, but in the future, the following should be addressed:

• Replace part of the top plank on the port side and repair the frame.
• Replace the plywood roof of the cabin (or cover it with solar panels?).
• Replace a few planks in the wooden deck under the covering plastic mat (which is only glued on the inner edges).
• Replace a couple of deck beams.
• Other routine wooden boat maintenance may be required.
