Boström 29 S1 Waiwaica byggd i Arendal Hisingen 1963

This boat was built to order in 1963, designed by Bruno Boström, and commissioned by the owner of the Waidele record stores. It is one of two boats built and served as the basis for later models, which were built in plastic.

The boat was built at the Arendal shipyard in Gothenburg and has a clinker-built hull made of Honduran mahogany. Its beautiful lines, especially the deck and stern, make it one of a kind.

Originally built as a racing boat, it has won the Gotland Runt and Skaw Race, but for the past 37 years, it has been used as a family boat and has had only one owner. Everything is beautifully crafted and has held up well against the challenges of time. Recent repairs include refurbishing the thighs, parts of the deck, and parts of the cockpit, as well as a minor repair to the stern, which needs to be addressed next year. The keel (iron with stainless steel bolts) and rudder are of good quality.

The boat is dry but takes a while to swell. It is currently in the water, but the engine is not working. The engine is a Yanmar 1GM10 inboard engine that needs to be renovated or replaced. This is why the boat is for sale, offering a unique opportunity to own it.
