Albin Vega 27, completely gutted except for mast and bulkheads, with mast, boom, sails, and rigging. Ready for transport on the Warnow with little effort. Crane can also be organized. Berth not secured.
This boat is for explorers, world conquerors, and free-thinking nomads. The boat is a great platform for a travel boat for 1 to 2 people. Thanks to its often 1.5cm thick hull, it offers a lot of stability and possibilities for extensions. New attachment points, winches, or other fastening points can be added without compromise. This is one of the most reliable boats of this size for offshore sailing.
Thanks to its hull shape, the boat can also sail straight without autopilots and maintain course for several hours without major corrections. The cockpit is compact and easy to handle, making it ideal for single-handed sailors. In addition, the boat has a lot of space inside and a pretty good headroom despite its small length.
I am Yannic, a sailor and boat expert for everything related to boats. I had the dream of converting a Vega into an offshore-capable single-handed boat and uncompromisingly designing it for rigidity and maximum load capacity.
The boat originally came from a field near Travemünde, where it stood on land for six years. I picked it up there in November 2021 and brought it to Rostock, where it has been in the water ever since. The underwater hull looked good, but unfortunately, it is currently a bit overgrown. I assume that an epoxy barrier coat was applied.
All sails with brass stay hanks (except mainsail). Sail condition is quite good. Not for racing, but for cruising, they are almost "good".
I am happy to share my knowledge with the new owner and provide tips for future implementation.
