The price can be negotiated if the buyer is willing to take the boat at the end of the summer instead of immediately.
Unfortunately, I have to sell the boat that took me across the North Sea and back due to relocation. The Albin Vega model is known for its safety and is perfect for beginners or long-distance sailors. I have been sailing her since I was 14 years old (now 25) and this year I made it all the way to Shetland.
During the journey, a number of upgrades were made (new batteries, toilet, solar panel, VHF, and several other minor upgrades) which now make the price even more tempting. In addition to the new upgrades, she is equipped with everything you need for long-distance sailing and other adventures (list of equipment below).
The relatively new engine (replaced by a previous owner around 2000) is a Volvo Penta MD7A that I have always been able to find spare parts for and is very easy to maintain. It leaks a little oil, but it is true what they say about these types of engines "if there is no oil under them, there is no oil in them". A few pieces of paper towel after a full day of driving is all that is required.
I have less historical information about the rigging, but it is functioning well with its reputation intact; reliable and fast downwind. A new jib was added and it helps her tremendously in upwind sailing compared to the slightly older genoa. She is rigged for a spinnaker and sails nicely with this sail. Furlex! Halyards pulled down in the cockpit.
The kitchen is a classic alcohol stove with two burners that rock with the waves so you don't spill while underway. The sink has running fresh water and the fridge works without any problems. The mattresses are thick and comfortable. 4 sleeping places (have slept 7 at most on the boat with the help of the cockpit tent).
