The Free Feeling is a sailboat of the brand Feeling, type 286S. With a length of 9.00 meters, a width of 3 meters and a draft of 2 meters, this boat offers enough space and stability for fun on the water. The boat was built in 1990 by Kyrie Constructions Nautiques in France.
The hull shape of the boat is round bilge, and steering is done with a tiller in the cockpit. The total weight of the boat is 2500 kilograms. The boat is made of polyester, which ensures durability and low maintenance.
Accommodation on board is comfortable and offers sleeping accommodation for a total of 6 people. There are 4 fixed berths and an additional 2 berths available. Inside, you will find a dining area, pillows, an oven, a refrigerator, mattresses, a stove, curtains and enough standing height of 2 meters. A water tank with a capacity of 30 liters provides the basic needs.
The boat is equipped with a manual toilet, the discharge of which is directly into the open water. Furthermore, there is a stove for heating, but no air conditioning for cooling.
The boat's engine is a working diesel engine.
In terms of electronics and navigation, the boat is equipped with a compass, depth gauge, wind meter, GPS and VHF radio. Please note that the GPS is described as obsolete.
The boat's rigging consists of one aluminum mast and two sails. The condition of the sails is described as adequate. There is a mainsail and a genoa, and the headsail can be reefed using a furling system. The mainsail has two reefing systems.
In terms of outside equipment, the boat has two anchors with chain or line , fenders and lines, outside cushions, a sea railing, a swim platform, a swim ladder.
For safety, there are several amenities on board, including a life buoy, fire extinguisher, life raft and life jackets. Note that the life raft and life jackets must be inspected.
The Feeling 286S was last out of the water in 2021 for maintenance, including an antifouling treatment. There are signs of osmosis present and some known defects, such as a broken diesel gauge and a window that needs to be resealed.
