MacGregor 26M Motor Sailer

We at Boatshed Cornwall are delighted to list this MacGregor 26M motor sailer for sale. With a model year of 2004 this may have been one of the earliest to hit the market. Whilst this MacGregor 26M is a versatile yacht, it sold well and there are many examples about.

We found this MacGregor 26M at a storage location rigged for road transport. From a distance it appeared to be clean and tidy with everything as it should be. Once onboard it also looked clean and tidy although there were signs of recent maintenance.

Trailer Mersea Dual Axle
Both Al KO axels and Bowden cables renewed (2026).
Spare tyre was renewed (2016)
Four tyres were renewed (2022) with new high-pressure valves and balanced.
New Braking Damper 2022
New Brake-shoes 2023 with thorough clean and re-grease
Two Bowden cables renewed (2023) (two spare in boat)
All one-shot hub-nuts and dust caps replaced 2023 and torqued to 240nM
Electric-power jockey-wheel fitted 2022 to assist in close-quarter moving.

The layout is rather different in that it is very much an open plan concept, however there is a privacy door for the heads. Whilst it provides ample accommodation below and can offer six berths, it may be a squeeze for six to enjoy the cockpit.

Overall, this MacGregor 26M seems to be well presented and feels clean and tidy and whilst there are a couple of signs of age it seems to be well constructed and looked after. If you like these yachts then this one deserves a viewing.
