The Hurley 18 was manufactured by Hurley Marine in Plymouth from 1963 to the early 1970s. It is Lloyd's classified, meaning it is approved for offshore sailing. It is initially tender but stabilizes when heeled. It handles waves well and the rig is spared from excessive heeling. It is a good sea boat with ample storage space. Stable and secure. Easy to maneuver. Lively in a safe way. Safe even in strong winds and rough seas, and easy access to the engine.
