Commissioned to be the dream yacht of the highest quality for a discerning owner, with a “go anywhere capability” for ultimate sailing adventures and the strength and safety of a 100% aluminium yacht construction. Designed by Dick Zaal and built for sailors who do not wish to be restricted to a particular sailing or anchoring area, with a fully ballasted hydraulic lifting keel 0.80-2.55m for both deep and shallow seas - the drying out capability giving confidence to explore rivers, estuaries or lagoons and access remote and sheltered anchorages that fixed keel boats could not. The large secure and dry cockpit area, with massive locker storage, is ideal for longer passages and safety in rough seas, with a semi ridged sprayhood and a full bimini with detachable sides, allowing excellent shade and sun protection in warmer weather whilst under sail. A deck saloon, the classic navy hull, with cream topsides and full 18mm teak decks, has three easy steps down to enter the light cherry wood fully insulated, comfortable interior with lots of natural light and a 2m head height. The well planned layout offers two spacious double cabins and a salon conversion to sleep 6 adults in quality and comfort. The yacht has been upgraded to support long periods independent from shore, with generous power generation through a Mastervolt Additional 24 volt engine alternator, Mastervolt 3.5 kw generator, solar power and large battery capacity. Upgraded nylon easy clean fresh water tanks are supported with a 30 ltr per hour watermaker, to enjoy showers in the well appointed bathroom. Cockpit storage consists of two large walkable side lockers and three large additional rear lockers allowing massive lockable and dry storage. Inside, the high quality solid wood lined cabinetry provides even more well planned, easy storage for life aboard in comfort. For fresh food, the large custom stainless steel fridge is supported by two independent cooling compressors, one water cooled, one air cooled, to allow additional cooling or support dry dock operation. Having cruised in the Baltic, Atlantic coast and the Med, she is set up for sailing in light airs or heavy weather, with good windward performance and stability. She has a complement of sails from light air to storm, with double head sails for that transatlantic crossing. Set up with ease of sailing, with a couple in mind, she is a joy to sail with electric winches, bow thruster and remote anchoring controller. She is equipped for both bow and stern access to shore and bow and stern anchoring, the Rocna 40kg primary anchor giving that extra security and her variable draft of 0.80-2.55¬¬m enabling access to those anchoring spots that other boats can’t get to. There is a stainless steel davit and outboard hoist and the dinghy is carried on the davit on the stern of the vessel. Her current (second) owners since 2005 have set her up for full time cruising, adding things like a salt water tap and microwave, fitted clip on cushioning for the cockpit, plus an interior and cockpit sound system. Removable security bars for hatches and entrance, allow ventilation while ashore in hot weather. In addition to the bimini with zip on see through sunshield sides, for cold weather there is a cockpit removable screened area to stay protected underway in sunshine or rough weather, with both a zip on sun/insect screen or clear plastic front, as well as a complete cockpit winter tent with clear windows. You can even use the autohelm from below decks, with Webasto heating in all areas. This well maintained Dick Zaal designed aluminium yacht, was built to the highest standards and with the best materials, to ensure that she is in very good condition. Practicality, ease, comfort and safety have been incorporated at every level. New engine and gearbox 2016. New Lewmar H3 windlass 2015. The decks were re caulked in 2018. The rigging was professionally replaced in 2013. New freshwater tanks 2013. The yacht has been kept on the hard in winter, under canvass covers. A survey (available) in 2016 reported “As detailed in the report which this document accompanies, she was found to be an aluminium deck-saloon yacht of sound construction and proven design (being a customised example of a Coronet 44 designed by Dick Zaal). This vessel was found to be in excellent structural and visual order throughout”. For design, see link EU VAT paid and all paperwork, including the original drawings, is correct and available. The owner has a file of manuals, maintenance log and receipts for many items. Originally Dutch registered, when the boat was bought by the current British owners in 2005, the asking price was 450,000€. Now U.K. flagged, the yacht has been in the Mediterranean since 2010. The owners are currently cruising in the North Adriatic. Contract paperwork and conveyancing of purchase funds will be handled by established professional UK and European Brokerage to ensure good completion and clear title for any prospective buyer.
