Description
The beautiful wooden kite was built in 1957 by the Starnberg shipyard
RAMBECK built and brought to the Ammersee to the Augsburg Sailing Club.
The Rambeck shipyard was founded in 1883 and is still based at Lake Starnberg in Starnberg.
The boat has been in the Augsburg Sailing Club in Utting am Ammersee since delivery.
The kite with sail number D 161 has a successful regatta history behind it and is a very well-known boat on Lake Ammer.
We have attached the original measurement certificate.
We completely restored the boat in 2020/2021:
We sanded the beautiful teak deck and oiled it 3 times. This protects the teak deck and the beauty can be preserved for a long time simply by oiling it every year.
The entire boat is now in good technical and optical condition again, so there should certainly be no problems in the next few years. The underwater ship was completely stripped, so the annual watering is shortened at the beginning and the ship is watertight all summer.
It comes with an aluminum mast, boom and all sails, ready to sail.
The sail is a well used racing sail,
It took us over 400 hours of work to get the boat back in good shape. We used very good products for the paints and adhesives. Documentation about refit can be documented.
The boat is now sheltered in a barn and can be visited.
