Boat for Sale

Fin Beason 31a from 1978 (number 144) is for sale at a favorable price due to relocation. The model is an easily maneuverable boat with good space and storage. It has 6 berths and sails well for its category.

We bought her in spring 2022 for 145,000 SEK and have sailed along Norway's fantastic coast (Lofoten round trip) during the summers of 2022 and 2023. The boat was already well-equipped when we bought her. Since then, extensive upgrades have been made by us (worth 15,000-20,000 SEK excluding wear and tear/service). In addition to a modern Volvo Penta engine from 2009, the boat has received a new genoa, AIS transponder, autopilot, plotter, sprayhood, boom cover, Furlex, and much more in the last 3-4 years. Being a slightly older model, it has most of the other features one could wish for, such as a plotter, gennaker, solar panel, and compressor fridge. The boat has a nice interior and freshly varnished wood details in the cockpit.

• Volvo Penta D1-20F (model year 2009, 18hp) with sailboat drive 130S (2009). Approximately 600 operating hours.
• 2-blade folding propeller (2009)
• New genoa (hoisted for the first time in 2022), an additional roller genoa in very good condition, slightly older but still in good shape mainsail, gennaker with sock, storm jib in very good condition. 2 reefs in the mainsail, fully functional with reef lines and cleats. Lazy jacks.
• New genoa sheet and gennaker halyard in 2022
• Furlex 204s (2019)
• Sprayhood (2019)
• Boom cover (2019)
• Garmin GPSMAP 720s plotter
• AIS transponder (transmitting and receiving) Digital Yacht AIT1500 connected to the plotter and with USB for connection to a computer. Year 2022. Antenna on mast top (2022).
• Autopilot Raymarine ST2000+ (Year 2022)
• Solar panel (approx. 80W)
• Toilet with tank and deck discharge (and the option to empty into the sea). The flushing function of the toilet does not work. One of the few things on the boat that is broken, we have been flushing with water from a bottle and have not bothered to fix it.
• Batteries (2 consumption, 1 starter), believed to be from 2021. Battery charger + shore power.
• Compressor fridge with freezer compartment
• Gas oven + stove, gimbaled. Hoses replaced in 2022. Gas bottle PC5. However, the gas installation is older apart from the hoses.
• Opening vent (window) above the stove (very useful for cooking)
• Full carpeting and cushions. The boat is nicely furnished and all cushions are in good condition.
• Water level alarm with buzzer in the bilge (2022), manual bilge pump Whalegusher 10 (older but renovated + new hose and strainer in 2022), electric bilge pump (2022)
• New hoses and hull fittings for self-draining in 2022
• Swan neck (2022) for deck penetration at the mast base. Poor old deck penetrations for electricity have been sealed.
• USB charging + 12V outlet at the navigation table and in the cockpit, tablet holders in the cockpit.

The electrical system was older and faulty when we bought the boat. It has been significantly improved since then and everything is in working order.

The boat had minor to moderate damage from grounding when we bought it and was professionally repaired at a shipyard through the previous owner's insurance in 2022.
