Eventyret - For Sale

After nine great years with Eventyret, our paths are now separating, and she is now for sale to continue sailing with someone else.

Eventyret is a fantastic family boat, with fixed sleeping space for five. Additionally, two more can be accommodated by folding down the table in the salon. She has a spacious cockpit where you can stretch out and enjoy the sun. Since all halyards and sheets are led to the cockpit, she can be sailed without having to go on deck. The dinghy hangs neatly and easily accessible in davits, so you don't have to worry about where to store it.

Eventyret has received many updates in recent years. New teak in the cockpit in 2017. A brand new Volvo Penta D2-40 was installed by Ragnar Ringstad in 2018, which has currently run under 200 hours! A new genoa was installed in 2018, and a new mainsail in 2022. The mainsail is practically brand new as we have mostly sailed with the genoa in recent years. In 2021, a new anchor winch with 50 meters of chain in the bow was installed, as well as a new septic tank with an electric pump for sea discharge and the option to pump to land.

Maxi 108 is a solid and spacious boat designed by Pelle Petterson. For those who can sail (unlike us), she is said to be both fast and a good sailing boat built to withstand both rough conditions and regattas, as boats were built in the 80s. Our conclusion is that we enjoy sailing, but we are not experienced sailors. So sail trim and light figures at 1.16 (whatever that means) are not really our thing.

We have made her a little nicer each year, but it cannot be denied that she is a 41-year-old lady with her flaws and imperfections - both known and probably unknown as well. The hull paint is starting to peel, she needs some varnish here and there. Some of the windows and hatches need attention. If you are looking for a "new and flawless" boat, you should find another listing.
