The Jeanneau 409 won the esteemed award of the 2011 European Yacht of the Year in the "Family Cruisers" category. With the comfortable cockpit, twin wheels, and light airy interior layout you can see why, when coupled with her good sailing performance!
The current owner is the second owner of Thai Girl, which was commissioned in 2011 and launched in 2012."Thai Girl" came out of charter in 2020, and the current owner has done a full and comprehensive refit in readiness for ocean passages. As his initial plans, where extensive world wide blue water sailing was a priority, his focus was on integrity of hull and safety. The rudder and keel were removed and the internal structural grid strengthened. He has replaced her keel bolts and rudder bearings. The steering torsion bar was replaced with 316 SS. All this was overseen by a highly qualified Marine Surveyor.
With many upgrades, she is ready to go anywhere.
