Just arrived on site a fantastic example of the popular Astus 16.1 trimaran. Taking a crew of up to 5 but easily capable of single handed sailing, these little boats are fast and versatile with lots of storage room below for longer trips and camping.  Floats on telescopic arms extend to a full beam of 3.7m making the Astus 16.1 stable with very little heel, even when fully powered up. So the Astus 16.1 is suitable for both speed fans and more squeamish sailers alike. Requiring no centreboard these trimarans draw only 10″ and with so much boat speed increasing the cruising range, they have that ‘go anywhere’ capability.  With the floats retracted the Astus 16.1 shrinks to a road legal 2.5m wide and, weighing in at only 240kg, it is easily launched, recovered and towed to your favourite sailing spot.
This 2009 model was first launched in 2010 and has been meticulously maintained by her present owner. Dry sailed in fresh water only the hull is immaculate and the trailer is completely rust free! Decks, rigging and equipment are similarly well looked after.
She comes with full mylar racing sails – a furling jib and boomless, fully battened main set on a wing mast – and a lightly used furling gennaker. She also has an all over deck cover and a 2020 3.5hp Tohatsu 4 stroke outboard with less than a dozen hours on it. The trailer is a handy break-back model which permits easy launch and recovery without getting your wheels wet.
The whole package is ready to go sailing. So, don’t delay, contact us now – this boat won’t be around for long!
