Just reduced in price, ‘IBIS’, a beautifully finished example of the popular Ian Oughtred Shearwater. Ian Oughtred has an outstanding reputation, having designed a range of popular wooden dinghies and small yachts. The Shearwater is designed to take a crew of 1-3 with excellent sailing characteristics even in chop.
Expertly crafted out of epoxy over marine ply IBIS looks absolutely delightful. She also handles well and planes easily, coming with a standard rig and a bigger rig to suit either a singlehanded or a larger crew.  She comes with jib roller reefing and her mainsail also comes with a sail tie system to make shorthanded hauling a simple job. IBIS has been uniquely extended  to a new length of 4m and modified to boast twin lifting rudders, providing plenty of grip when heeled under sail and enabling an outboard (not included) to be centrally mounted.
IBIS also comes with a good equipment list including a road trailer and separate launching trolley, an anchor, a compass, two high quality sail covers one (mast up) Summer cover and a full Winter cover to protect this charming little gem from the elements. She also boasts a full document trail from new.
IBIS is now up for sale as the owner is moving onto something bigger. So, grab the opportunity now to own one of these beautiful Ian Oughtred creations!
(The electric outboard engine is not included in the sale but an Epropulsion Spirit 1.0 Long Shaft electric outboard with battery or a Torqeedo Travel CL1003 long shaft with two batteries are available by separate negotiation if required).
