=============================================================
REGINA was originally built in Damgarten (Germany) in 1949 as fishcutter.. She was commissioned as fishingvessel of the cutterfleet in Uekermunde named UEK65 (NEURUPPIN).

As a 56ft Oostsee fishcutter upto 1978. These cutters were very famous about their seaworthiness. Despite the heavy construction, they glide smoothly on waters. This because of the shape of the underwatership which hasn’t been changed since 19th century. Historicly sailingships with long keel S shape carvel construction. 2.4 inch oak planking on oak ribs of 4-8 inch.
In 1990 the current owner purchased the ship and named her REGINA.
The original SKL engine was replaced by a DAF 1160 engine and new fueltanks installed. It’s only after 2001 that full restauration and rebuilding started which resulted in conversion to this magnicifent classic sailingvessel. Thirteen years of hard work were spent at removing corroded and rusted heavy steel, installing all new woodwork. Quality birman teak came from an old de-commisioned minesweeper. Underwatership repaired at famous Bultjerwerft in Ditzum Germany. Also new heavy oak bulwark and bollards. In 2006 at Bultjer shipyard the new mast fundament was installed and mast and bowsprit fitted. After that the rebuilding of superstructure commenced. In 2014 this resulted in this beautiful classic two mast seagoing sailingvessel.

Solidly constructed with oak planking on oak frames. Teak laid decks and superstructure. Plywood deck.Traditional wood interior.
