The boat has been sailed on Lake Schwerin in recent years. I am selling it with a heavy heart because, as a single part-time dad of two children, my priorities are currently and in the coming years focused on land activities.
In the past years, 90% of the electrical system, including the fuse box and shore power connection, has been replaced. All cushions have been completely renewed. The solar system has been replaced, the swim ladder has received teak steps, the mast lowering device has been optimized, and a new winter cover has been acquired (the boat has been covered on the shore every winter). The hull has received a fresh antifouling coating every 2-3 years (due for renewal this winter).
In recent years, the focus of work has been on the interior of the boat. Cosmetic improvements on deck would be the next step, but they do not affect the sailing characteristics or functionality of the boat. One to-do item is to replace the seals on the windows and one railing support.
The boat has good and stable sailing characteristics as a long keeler. We have spent many nights and weekends on board. I have always described the Fellowship as a camper with sails. However, it can also be easily sailed in the North and Baltic Seas.
Thanks to the solar system, the 120L fresh water tank, the sea toilet, and the compressor refrigerator, you can stay self-sufficient on the boat for a long time. The last time I needed shore power was several years ago. Despite my height of 1.83m, I can stand upright below deck.
