Nice and well maintained Mascot 28 from 1986. 2 owners - current owner has cleaned and with Owatrol restored the good wood look. Bådmagasinet used the boat as an example in their article 581 in 2022 - see one of the pictures in the advert, which also describes sailing characteristics etc.
Mascot 28 motor sailer, launched 1986 with Furlex furling headsail and Lazypack for mainsail. All halyards led to cockpit for safe sailing.
Layout: aft cabin with 2 berths. Cockpit with plenty of space and chest benches and table. Wheelhouse with steering position in SB side and pantry in BB side with sink, pressurised water, gas cooker.
Fridge under steering position. Saloon with sofa and table. In SB side can be added a centre piece for 1½ berths, 3 berths in saloon. Door to forward cabin with a small passageway with wardrobe in BB side and in SB side toilet room with new sea toilet and pull-out sink. Forward cabin has 2 berths. A total of 7 berths.
Instruments: Garmin GPS 178, Silva Speed and Silva plumb, portable VHF, Autopilot Raymarine ST2000+, Compass.
Engine: Volvo Penta 2002 with 18 HP, 2 batteries - one from 2021.
The Mascot 28 is built in 140 copies - first presented in 1979. This very popular motorised sailer is an obvious choice as a first boat if you want comfortable touring sailing for the whole family. It is also suitable for canal sailing, as the draft is 140 cm. The boat has a fixed wheelhouse with steering wheel steering but can also be steered with a tiller in the cockpit.
The boat is fully ready to sail with equipment such as a service kit for the engine, anchor, mooring lines, fenders, boat hook, winter tarpaulin facon sewn, canopy + winter canopy, and more - full package.
