Albin Ballad for Sale

We are selling a well-equipped and renovated Albin Ballad, no. 323. We have owned the boat since 2015 and it has brought us a lot of joy. As our family has grown with two young children, and since the whole family loves being on the sea, we now want to buy a larger sailboat. Otherwise, we would have loved to keep this fantastic and well-equipped sailboat that we have invested a lot of time and money in. It works perfectly for two adults to spend a week on the boat if desired.

The boat has everything you need to comfortably spend several consecutive days at sea. It is also very easy to sail the boat alone as all lines are led to the cockpit and it has an autopilot.

The boat is equipped with a freshwater-cooled Yanmar 2gm20f engine. The engine is significantly more powerful than the original engine, and even in strong headwinds and rough seas, it can push the boat forward at 5-6 knots, which is incredibly reassuring when you are out at sea.

The sails are new from 2019 and have not been used much since then due to having young children.

The Albin Ballad is a great sailboat, and above all, it is stable and can handle a lot of wind before it starts to heel. This has always made sailing with it feel safe, even on open seas. The boat's draft (1.55 m) makes it easy to find natural harbors to moor in. The previous owner epoxy-treated the bottom in the late 1990s when the engine was installed. We have done a lot of renovation and improvement work on the boat during our ownership and upgraded various equipment. See the complete list of work and purchases in the link below.

Equipment:

• Engine: Yanmar 2gm20f (16 Hp) from 1999. Sleipner oil-lubricated propeller shaft seal. Two-blade folding propeller.
• Sails: Furlex roller furling genoa + Elvström mainsail (2019). Older spinnaker with spinnaker sock (works perfectly) and spinnaker pole.
• Batteries: 3 x 70A consumption + 1 70A starting battery. Two 45W solar panels + regulator.
• Toilet: Jabsco (hand pump) with holding tank (approx. 70 L). Deck discharge or sea discharge when needed.
• Water: Freshwater tank 70 L, electric pump for galley. Saltwater intake with electric pump for galley.
• Fuel tank: 30 L
• Kitchen: Origo spirit stove with 2 burners
• Refrigeration: Ocean Comfort 45 L cool box
• Sound: Older car stereo. Two speakers inside and two in the cockpit.
• Instruments: NASA wind instrument. Lowrance Elite 7 ti Plotter with depth sounder.
• Compass: Older but functional.
• Heater: Wallas 1800t paraffin heater
• Autopilot: Raymarine ST2000 tiller pilot
• Textiles: Sprayhood, boom cover, and cockpit cover from Kapell & annat
• Anchor: 10 kg Delta anchor at the stern with 50m anchor line. Also includes a 7.5 kg Bruce anchor and a stock anchor (approx. 20 kg).
• Bottom: Epoxy-treated by the previous owner in the late 1990s. Otherwise, very smooth and in good condition. Very easy to maintain.
• Various mooring lines, wedges, and fenders included.
