I am offering my loyal Kielyacht GREYHOUND 20 for sale, in the very rare long version, with various accessories.
The Greyhound 20 is designed as a stern decker and looks very streamlined due to its flat shape. When sailing, you are rewarded with good visibility over the bow. It was built in 1978 by the boat builder Röhl GmbH&Co (Mönchengladbach). The fiberglass was processed using the hand lay-up method, providing a stable quality that is rarely achieved by modern boats. With a ballast of 230 kg out of a total weight of 830 kg, safe and balanced sailing is guaranteed. The ideal beginner's boat for a small family. But the single-handed sailor will also enjoy it. I often sail alone on the boat. The Greyhound 20 is a very forgiving boat that can also be very fast. In a motor compartment, I use an electric motor to get out of the harbor or vice versa in unfavorable winds. It also serves as a light wind pusher. I get the power from a solar panel with a corresponding buffer battery.
I have owned the Greyhound for almost 10 years and regularly use it after work or on weekends as a day sailor on Lake Senftenberg. The boat comes with a trailer from the 70s. It is still in the workshop until the end of October. The drawbar with overrun brake, wheel bearings, and brake cables will be replaced to satisfy the TÜV inspector.
Therefore, the boat can be inspected on the water at Lake Senftenberg until October 31, 2023, or sailed with me for a trial.
