The Konsort was the inspiration of Jack Laurent Giles who, as Westerly's main designer for the era, had the remit to create a modern yacht with maximised interior volume and a cruising performance - he certainly achieved this in the Konsort confirmed by in excess of 700 productions over a12 year period. 'Aquilo' has a relatively new engine (2014), been regularly used and maintained - new rigging in 2020 and other upgrades like a new mainsail in 2022.
