The Captain already owned 8 sailing boats including 3 catanas. He was shareholder of Catana company and made 2,5 worldtours sailing its own boat, representing
NM.
In addition to particular and permanent care (3 significant refits: 2008,2016,2022/2023), the owner made some improvements vs the initial design of the boat (structure, waterproofing, safety, ... ). The boat is probably one of the lightest Catana 581/582 in the world: Real weight is 26 tons.
The boat is in very good condition and has no damage history: new/recent engines, new sails, and much more.
For better reliability and autonomy some systems are redundant (two automatic pilot, two anemometers, two water makers, two fridges, two freezers... ). The boat is performant, comfortable and ready for continuing to sail around the world.
We are currently sailing with her from Marquesas to Hawaii where the boat will be visible until May. If we find an agreement with a buyer, we can deliver the boat in France, French Polynesia, new Zealand, Australia or US east or west coast.
