This boat has been with our family since 1978, the year it was commissioned. I took over the boat from my grandparents in 1996. They had a complete overhaul of the underwater ship carried out by a specialist company in 1995/96 for safety reasons.

It is a well-sailing, seaworthy boat with which my grandparents and we have sailed in the Baltic Sea to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway in the Skagerrak. It has a well-thought-out teak wood interior in an L-shape, which is very cozy and functional. The boat offers sleeping space for 4 adults, with the salon being used for two of the sleeping places. We always found it really comfortable for two people.

Over time, the equipment has been adapted to today's comfort requirements:

  • The engine was replaced in 2018 with a Volvo Penta with 18 hp and 3 cylinders. Winterizing, summerizing, and maintenance of the engine are carried out annually by a specialist engine company. The Volvo now has 500 operating hours.
  • The engine room has been soundproofed.
  • Electrical equipment:
    • Shore power connection with CEE socket
    • Sterling ULTRA charger
    • Isolator diode (new 2021)
    • 2x100 Ah consumer batteries, 1x50 Ah starter battery (new 2021)
    • 220V network with sockets in the pantry, salon, and forepeak
    • 12V network with USB charging sockets in the salon and forepeak
    • Compressor refrigerator, Demenic unit, self-built box
    • 2-burner induction hob
  • Nautical equipment:
    • Fully integrated navigation system from B&G consisting of:
      • B&G 7" Zeus Touch chart plotter
      • B&G wind vane
      • B&G electronic compass ZG100
      • B&G depth sounder
      • B&G tiller pilot TP32
      • B&G DSC VHF radio
      • AIS receiver/transponder from Camio
      • Magnetic steering compass
      • Navigation lights
      • Anchor light at masthead
    • 2 additional midship cleats
    • 2 automatic bilge pumps
  • Sails and rigging:
    • Boom, main halyard, and boom vang are led to the cockpit (on stoppers, 2-speed winch for operation)
    • The two sheet winches have been replaced with self-tailing 2-speed winches
    • Bruce anchor with 40m lead line
    • Sea fence with a passage on the port side, renewed in 2020
    • Furling genoa 1, 16 sqm (renewed 2017), roller system by Haase
    • Main sail, 13 sqm (renewed 2017)
    • Boom vang (renewed 2020)
    • Asymmetric spinnaker with 50m², mobile spinnaker pole by Sparcraft and retrieval sock (2017)
    • Sprayhood (2021) and covers for the main boom and genoa (both 2017)
  • All through-hull fittings and seacocks except one have been replaced
  • Splitable cockpit table with space for 4 people
  • Jabsco marine toilet and washbasin

What the boat does not have:

  • A pressurized water system. My grandparents and we have always used canisters with fresh drinking water for hygienic reasons.
  • A heating system. We have been using a fan heater for 20 years. The old petroleum heater was dismantled. The chimney still exists.

The boat is located at its berth in Neuhof, near Stralsund, and can be visited by appointment.
