Unfortunately, due to a change in direction, we have to part with it.The boat, at 8 meters in length, is a space wonder with excellent craftsmanship and appealing mahogany design. The layout above and below deck offers convenience, comfort, coziness, and safety.With its shallow draft, the boat is ideal for exploring inland or coastal waters. The rigging, with a mast height of 10 meters, is suitable for inland sailing.The interior concept includes a dinette on the port side, a pantry with a stove, sink, and refrigerator along the starboard side, providing space for four people. And all this with standing height (approximately 1.80 meters) in the salon. The storage options are generous with cabinets, numerous compartments, and lockers. The solar panel on the cabin roof ensures a constant charge for the lithium batteries.The self-draining cockpit provides space and protection for six people. The cockpit cover can be easily and quickly installed above or behind the sprayhood. Cockpit cushions and pillows also add to the comfort.The cabin structure is also made of mahogany boat plywood.The hull of the Biga 262 is made of high-quality boat building resins using fiberglass mats and roving fabric in a hand-layup process. According to the shipyard, the hull is laminated with an isophthalic acid barrier layer, which prevents the feared osmotic damage.The deck and cockpit floor are made of solid teak strips laminated on boat plywood. The halyards are redirected to the cockpit. The boat is maneuverable and suitable for single-handed sailing. Lazyjacks and lazybags make sail handling easier.The boat is in good condition and will be in winter storage until March. After that, it will be ready to sail.
