655-12 DAENA -= LOCATION CHANGE
The 655 is a fantastic design from Rob Humphreys that is renowned for being a capable, comfortable, versatile cruiser that is just as enjoyable to sail around the world, as is to perform on the racecourse.
Daena, 655-12, launched in 2009 beautifully demonstrates the perfect balance between practicality, performance, and versatility. Cutter rigged with an in-mast furling mainsail, hydraulic furling headsails, dedicated spinnaker setup, and electric primary, secondary, and mainsheet winches, Deana is simple to handle, yet she has always performed fantastically in her Oyster regatta class. The characteristic split cockpit allows for safe and comfortable dining and relaxing, whilst the clear walkway, twin pedestals, and concise sailing setup aft allows for safe, uncluttered, hassle-free sailing. Spec wise Daena has everything you need and more, with extras such as the larger capacity generator, additional deck lighting, cockpit fridge, remote windlass control, and davits to name a few just adding the icing on the cake.
Below decks the sleek modern styling is married beautifully with the sophistication and warmth associated with the traditional teak interior, neutral palette tones, and luxurious champagne leather upholstery throughout. Carefully designed to sleep seven in four cabins, the layout allows for two spacious doubles, with the option to convert the twin forward into an additional double below as required. The fourth cabin, which acts as a single berth/workshop cabin is fantastic for additional workspace, storage, and bunk space for guests or even crew as required. The saloon is light and airy with an abundance of comfortable seating that carefully conceals additional valuable storage space below, whilst the ‘U- shaped’ galley aft is well equipped, and ergonomically designed to make cooking and entertaining more free flowing, practical and comfortable at sea. Engine room access is vast with a large opening compartment to the aft companionway and galley, with additional saloon sole access conveniently allowing access to all the auxiliary systems. Comprehensively equipped throughout with additional extras such as air conditioning and Webasto heating, Daena is perfectly equipped to live onboard for extended periods no matter where you are thinking of cruising.
Extensively refitted in 2018 with works including the mast being pulled, rigging replaced and spars painted, Daena has benefitted from continuous use and maintenance since, her most recent cruising with her owners included cruising the Baltic sea.
Currently in Northern Spain, early viewing is highly recommended.
