S/Y Ella Ready to sail! The boat is on land in Medana Bya Marina, Lombok, Indonesia Hartley Fijan 43 Ketch, rigged. Ferrocement 12,3m * 3,9m Homebuilt 1978-1984 - Denmark Ford engine, 2701E-6050,51/kw70 hp - from 1979 3l. Pr. Hour at 1100 rpm 160l daytank, 465 bunkertank - stainless steel from 2016 Rigging: oregon pine, renovated in 2015. Front sails furlex 300s - 2 st. All sails are new from Lee Sails Hong Kong from 2017 and are in good condition. 1 generator, 75 meter anchorchain, solar panels, batterycharger, windmill, dinghy and 15 hp yamaha, a whole set of old sails, and much more. She has been around the world two times, so lots of equipment. ELLA is a beautiful old lady, but like all other old boats she needs some maintenance. That said, you only need to install some new Zink anodes and she is ready to sail. But we will recommend the new owner to use the current dry dock opportunity, to install a new echo sounder. We will recommend that the new owner has knowledge and experience on working on boats, since things like the electronics devices, and some of the lights below deck should be looked at. The fridge also needs a new coolant system and the steering needs a new oil reservoir since the cap is missing on the current one (easy fix). The steering works fine, but due to the missing reservoir cap the hydraulic loses pressure and you need to be more active on the steering than normally. We have been sailing around with this issue without problems, but for comfort this would be a good thing to get fixed. As you can see in the pictures the boat is equipped with a lot of tools and stuff for general maintenance, there is everything you need for rigging, a large assortment of bolts/nuts/screws, electronics/fuses/wires, spare parts for the motor and so on. Most importantly though is that the motor starts and runs without problems, both diesel filters are newly changed and the main diesel tank has been emptied and cleaned. Beside the mentioned problems, she is a very comfortably boat with spacious interior, and a nice big galley. We have loved to sail around in ELLA, but we simply don't have time for that right now and we are back in Denmark.
