Every boat owner, charter skipper, or anyone operating a yacht should be able to understand and repair the diesel or dinghy engine for safety reasons. Often, the causes of malfunctions are easy to identify and fix with onboard tools. This requires a certain basic knowledge, which you will learn in our practical and effective basic course.

We will dismantle an exemplary boat diesel engine together, get to know all the components, and understand the functioning principles of different engines. We will also cover the topic of dinghy motors and outboard engines in general.

We will perform a complete motor service and important maintenance tasks together, providing you with many tips and tricks.

You will also learn about troubleshooting, diagnostic methods, and how to fix errors.

After completing our course, you will be well-prepared for the dreaded engine failure and be able to help yourself in such emergencies.

It is important to us that all participants have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with dismantling, assembling, and maintenance. Therefore, the group size is limited to a manageable number of participants.

The basic course lasts approximately 8 hours and will take place in a heated classroom in 21514 Güster (Herzogtum Lauenburg). Coffee, drinks, snacks, tools, and work gloves will be provided by us.
