A beauty to sail, admire, and spend time on. She is in good condition despite her age. She has taken us on fantastic sailing adventures along the Swedish and Danish coasts for 3 years. She is well-prepared for many years of sailing ahead.
With a new rig from Seldén (2016) and a reliable Volvo Penta D1-30 engine (2016), she is a very safe boat that can handle any winds. She has a powerful bow thruster that makes her easy to maneuver in both strong winds and tight spaces.
We have done a lot of maintenance work on both the woodwork and hull, both above and below the waterline. Above the waterline, we have spent many hours to make her shine like a jewel. Sanding, varnishing... varnishing... varnishing, with twelve layers of Epifarnes 1-component varnish. Below the waterline, we have sanded her down to clean plastic and then built her up again with five layers of epoxy according to all the rules of the art. So the hull and "doghouse" are in really good condition.
Inside, the layout is comfortable with a classic mahogany interior according to the tradition of these beautiful Vindö boats. New carpet in the salon in 2021.
All through-hull fittings replaced (bronze) in spring 2023. Rudder fitting repacked in spring 2023. Teak deck sanded and re-caulked in 2022. Hull below the waterline renovated in spring 2023. Heater purchased, not installed. 6-person life raft (needs repacking). Custom-made winter cover in heavy-duty PVC. Lifeline with lifebuoy. Holding tank with deck fitting. Sails washed and new UV protection in 2022. 2 consumption batteries and a separate battery for the bow thruster. Part of the original Vindö tableware.
She is a perfect boat for the small family or solo sailor to start their adventure. The boat has been stored for winter since we bought her and can now be viewed where she is located in a heated hall. More pictures and a more detailed description can be provided upon request.
