The Compromis 999 is a design by Frans Maas and built by the Dutch shipyard Zaadnoordijk (today C-Yacht), well-known for its quality builds.The boat is category A (ocean)-rated and suited for long passages.
With its spacious interior, the comfortable stern cabin and stable sailing characteristics, this sailboat is a good choice for smaller crews or couples.
The boat underwent big upgrades in 2023 and is ready for cruising. Included in the price are various spare parts and personal items such as fishing rods.
Upgrades:
Inboard engine: The YANMAR 3GMM30 (30hp) was removed from the boat and given a complete overhaul/service in the workshop. Engine service; new exhaust curve; new exhaust muffler; new water pump; new temperature sensor; new original YANMAR engine panel; new raw water strainer (VETUS); fuel tank deep-clean
Electricity: New stainless steel davits with 2 Victron solar panels (max. output 230W); new Victron Phoenix 12/500 DC to AC inverter (connected to all outlets); new starter battery with 110Ah and 800A
Navigation and sailing: The sailmaker added a 3rd reef to the main; installation of removable inner forestay, suited for jibs and storm sail; installation of a new Hydrovane
Hull: Sandblasted the keel until the iron cast and re-sealed it; replaced all brass skin fittings and ball valves with non-corroding Trudesign fittings + valves
Electronics: Installation of external GPS and Wifi AIS (compatible with Navionics and other navigation software); new VHF radio; new depth sounder
Safety: New EPIRB; 4 person liferaft (serviced in 2023); new fire extinguishers; new bilge pump with floating switch; new radar reflector; fully equipped grab bag; new life jackets; Draper LED torch; jackstays; climbing harness; personal locating AIS MOB1 Ocean Signal (2022)
Galley: new 2-burner gas stove; new cooling unit
Other: new cushions; new sunshade; sealed hatches and windows (start of 2023); Eberspächer diesel heater; new deck seals (Scanstrut)
