I am selling a Nordship 28, a center cockpit sailboat built by Elvström & Kjærulf in the mid-1980s. It is designed to perform well in strong winds and rough seas, similar to Nauticat, Hallberg-Rassy, and Najad. The boat has a high seating position and a large fixed windshield for more comfortable and less chilly sailing, which is important in cold Sweden.
This particular boat has a newer, extra-strong rig from Selldén with double spreaders, making it suitable for Atlantic and circumnavigation sailing. Despite its compact size of only 28 feet, it is a fast and capable sailboat. It has a sporty feel and can lean significantly if desired.
The boat has 6 berths, including 2 in a separate aft cabin. There is a separate toilet room with a toilet and a large stainless steel tank. The boat is equipped with thick and comfortable cushions.

The boat has comparable equipment and quality to a Maxi 95 and can be compared to a Comfort 32 Hallberg Rassy 312 or 29 Scandinavia.
The cockpit can accommodate up to 6 people, and there is also a comfortable seating area on the aft cabin roof, which can accommodate an additional 3 people. The boat is easy to sail and has a spacious interior with standing height in the cabin and under the boom (approximately 180 cm). This updated version has a rod kicker that always keeps the boom up, making it easy to sail single-handed. All lines are led to the cockpit with high freeboard.
The boat is equipped with high-quality components from Harken and Lewmar. It has a larger stainless steel steering wheel with equipment typically found on larger 35-foot boats. It has a Furlex roller furling genoa, a UV-protected genoa cover (new in 2021), a mainsail with 3 reefs and 4 battens (partially full-length), and a lazy-jack cover (renovated in 2021). It also has a Raymarine autopilot (requires new spare parts), a Nexus wind instrument (may need replacement as it is loose), an echo sounder, and a Garmin GPS plotter, among other features.
The boat comes with a roller genoa and a mainsail with lazy jacks and 3 reefs. It has a bow sprit with a foldable ladder for easy access to islands and is prepared for a gennaker.
The Volvo Penta 2003B-HE-BT engine has 23 horsepower and a large stainless steel tank with a capacity of approximately 65 liters. The engine was completely overhauled around 2005 and has been regularly serviced with oil and filter changes. It is equipped with a powerful 3-blade folding propeller.
The boat has a nearly new sprayhood and cockpit cover (a removable cover that can enclose the entire cockpit like a house or just the front half like a larger sprayhood). It also has an almost new stainless steel stove and oven, a powerful refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a new anchor davit (2021), an electric gas shut-off valve, a Wallas diesel heater (installed but not yet connected), 2 solar panels with a regulator, 2 AGM batteries, and a large replaced stainless steel water tank. It also has a VHF radio with an antenna on the masthead.
The boat is located centrally in the city on Norra Djurgården.
Some minor fixes are needed, such as polishing and regelcoating around a repair on the cabin hatch.
