Boat Sale Information

We have made some changes at short notice for the start of the season and are selling our well-maintained Rebell Seaskip 2, built in 1977:

• Length: 7.60m, Width: 2.45m, Draft approx. 1.20m (keelboat)

The Seaskip is already largely prepared for the season and has been polished. The keel will receive a layer of primer and the boat will then have new antifouling applied, making it ready for use.

There is always some work to be done on an old boat, but major issues are not expected here. The deck is stiff, there are no signs of osmosis, and the upholstery still looks good.

The sail inventory includes:

• Main sail in good condition
• Storm jib in new condition
• Jib 1 in good condition
• Jib 2 still usable but not in great condition

Below deck, there is a dinette with a lowering table (realistically a large sleeping area), a long dog berth, and the forepeak for 2 people. There is a 2-burner spirit stove, a refrigerator, and a modern switch panel. The old marine toilet has been replaced with a Porta Potti, but the connections/seacocks for the marine toilet are still functional.

The DHI lighting works, battery and charger are on board, and the well-rigged rig is securely stayed - a double forestay is available for the headsails. The Seaskip is not a racing machine, but with the deep keel, it sails reasonably close to the wind and is very safe at sea.

The outboard motor is stowed in the well and provides good maneuverability by directing the rudder well and does not submerge in waves. This also eliminates the risk of incurring an economic total loss with an old diesel engine in case of necessary replacement.

We are selling the Seaskip with an electric outboard and separate battery (suitable for protected inland waters) - we need our combustion engine for the new boat. Necessary equipment such as anchor, fenders, etc. are on board.

What should be done when convenient:

• The sprayhood needs to be resewn or replaced
• The keel has been sanded and rebuilt with Owatrol, Primocon, and then antifouling. However, we could not smooth it out at the current temperatures
• The windows are currently watertight, but there are old moisture spots on the wood inside. This may need attention at some point
• For those who are very particular about the appearance, the deck could be repainted - although it is not necessary

I hope the condition is evident from the pictures.

A 3.5-ton trailer will be available for possible transport (on loan) or for purchase from mid-April. However, this would need to be clarified first.

The boat is located at Ancora Marina in Neustadt (Holstein) and is available for viewing by appointment.
