For sale is an Ovington 49er with hull number 1660. We purchased the 49er used 1.5 years ago and are the second owners. The boat has only been sailed for 3 seasons and is in very good condition.
We bought the boat in June last year and sailed it until October. Since then, the boat has been stored and unfortunately was not sailed at all this year, which is why we are now selling it.
The boat was originally purchased for the Swedish preparation for the 2016 Olympic Summer Games but was never used for that purpose. It was stored in South America until 2021 before returning, resulting in only 3 seasons of sailing. All of this was documented in the purchase agreement with the previous owner.
The boat is nearly problem-free and completely watertight. The mast is in good condition with an unrepaired mast track and undamaged holes. There is a small damage to the transom that has been sealed. The 49er is being sold fully sail-ready with all spare parts, making it perfect for newcomers to this fun and challenging class.
