For Sale: Beloved Mosquito 85

I am selling my beloved Mosquito 85 with a heavy heart. The boat has been in my possession for 6 years. Prior to that, it was stored in a shed for 15 years. I am a boat builder myself, and since owning the boat, I have gradually completed a complete refit and enjoyed some wonderful holidays with the boat. Here is a list of all the work that has been done:

• Kiel dismantled, blasted, coated with epoxy, laminated
• Complete underwater hull with Gelshield in 8 layers, followed by Copper-Coat in 8 layers
• Hull meticulously polished, new decorative stripes applied
• New rubber rubbing strake installed
• Deck repainted above the rubbing strake, new anti-slip coating
• All blocks and cleats renewed
• Complete running rigging renewed in 2020
• New set of sails in 2021
• Special feature: Inboard engine (installed in 2022), a Yanmar 1GM from 1987, completely overhauled before installation, only a few engine hours since installation
• All lighting converted to LED
• Carbon spinnaker pole
• New upholstery in the interior in 2023
• And many other items that have been renewed

The boat is in impeccable condition. We have enjoyed using it for both regattas and cruising. Under optimal conditions, the boat can reach speeds of up to 14 knots. If you have any questions about the additional equipment, please feel free to contact me.
