For Sale: Neptun 22 Backdecker

We are offering our Neptun 22 Backdecker for sale due to a new acquisition. This classic boat is very gentle and family-friendly.

It has undergone extensive renovations in recent years, including stripping the hull, sealing the keel with new bolts, applying 3 layers of epoxy barrier, and fresh antifouling each year. The sails have approximately 20 hours of use, and the engine has around 15 operating hours. Running rigging has been replaced every two years, and 50% of the standing rigging is new. Windows have been replaced and fully sealed. Various parts have been replaced with new components.

The dinette cushions are brand new beige artificial leather, including the foam cores. A sprayhood, cockpit cover, and covers for the mainsail and jib are also new. All work is documented with photos and receipts, totaling an investment of around €15,000 over four years plus many hours of labor.

The entire scope of work is extensive, with the boat being completely emptied, all wood sanded and oiled, and artificial leather replaced with new white marine-grade material. The entire electrical system has been professionally renewed for both 12V and 220V.

Includes a 2-ton Heku trailer with new tires (valid inspection until 2023).

While the price may seem high, in reality, a cheap boat may end up costing more in the long run. Numerous photos are available, including various stages of the renovation, which can be sent electronically to serious buyers upon request.

The boat is currently covered in winter storage.

And to address the common question... No, the boat is not perfect or like new. A full refit would be financially unreasonable, considering the extensive work already done. Ongoing maintenance and minor tasks will always be necessary.

In response to multiple inquiries, yes, a mast lowering device is included and will remain with the boat, and yes, it is the original one.
