For Sale: Comar Comet 801 Sailboat

This sailboat of the Comar Comet 801 type is for sale.

My grandfather acquired the boat in 2020 with the intention of sailing it. However, he later opted for a more comfortable option and purchased a motorboat. As a result, our sailboat is now available for sale.

The boat was built in 1976 and is in excellent condition. The interior cushions have been reupholstered and show no signs of wear.

It is equipped with a Farymann Diesel engine, a small single-cylinder diesel that can propel the boat to a speed of 5km/h. Two years ago, we had the injection pump replaced as it had starting issues, but since then, the engine starts smoothly and runs quietly on the water.

For added safety, there is an outboard motor attached to the stern, although we have never used it.

The hull is made of fiberglass and has been coated with underwater protection every year to prevent any build-up. The draft is 1.20m.

Bridges are not a problem with this boat as the mast can be easily lowered. All sails are present and in good condition.

It also features a self-steering system, as well as numerous ropes and fenders.

The boat is currently located in Glindow on dry dock and can be viewed by appointment.
