After thoughts and experiences from the previous owner who sailed over 13,000 distances in various weather conditions, a comprehensive rebuild was carried out. The cockpit in Wasa 55 was deemed unnecessarily deep. The self-draining system took in water in heavy seas. The engine was difficult to access under the cockpit, and relatively weak. 13 HP was not sufficient in calm weather with rougher conditions.
The engine was upgraded to 35 HP and made more accessible all around. The volume of the berths was doubled and converted into wardrobes from the aft cabin. Reupholstered cushions are available (one cushion for a berth is missing, and the other berth cushion is too long after renovation but can be shortened).
The entire cockpit, berths, and engine room were removed, and a new cockpit was built with the deck approximately 30 cm higher. Newer interior in the aft cabin, around the engine, and berths. No through-hulls left below the waterline that are not necessary. The previous owner removed the electrical system. There is still much to do, and I do not have the time, so I will be purchasing a newer boat. The mooring is paid until June 1st. Many accessories are available for the boat. Can send pictures of all accessories. I do not have a list.
