The Vagabond 47 is a heavy displacement centre cockpit cutter rigged ketch that has proved itself as a safe and comfortable long range passage maker. Introduced in 1972, these yachts are seen cruising every corner of the world. Yachts are rarely built to such strengths these days and such an abundance of solid teak interior is not afforded by many builders. The interior of this yacht is warm and inviting with such a traditional feel, teak soles, white deckheads, portlights etc. On deck she has excellent lounging spots, with or without shade as you prefer, from stem to stern. Beautiful teak decks, glued not screwed.
Owned by an adventurous cruising family since 2016, THEKWINI IV comes to the market as a very well cared for yacht. A refit in the Mediterranean in 2023 saw a full hull peel and re epoxy with five coats at a cost of more than 10k GBP, all new through hulls (skin fittings and valves), a new sturdy stainless steel bimini frame c/w new shades and covers, new batteries and more.. More recent works have included two new polyethylene water tanks, bilges sanded and re painted, teak decks sanded and re caulked, a new forestay and more..
YBC is pleased to represent this pretty and capable yacht and your early inspections are highly recommended.
